Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Dianne began the practice of TM in 1972 while living in Vancouver and after moving to Toronto became a teacher of Transcendental Meditation in 1977. In addition, Dianne has also worked in public education in Toronto and Mississauga teaching K– Gr. 8, including 10 years as a Music Specialist. She holds a BA major in Music from York University and a B.Ed from the University of Toronto. Dianne recently retired from the Peel Board of Education and now dedicates herself full time to the teaching of the TM program.
Dianne is married to David Field, her husband of 46 years. David is an acclaimed professional jazz musician. Together they have raised three sons, all of whom are musical in addition to their other professions. Dianne is a longtime member of the Ambiance Singers, a ladies' singing group based in Mississauga. Her other interests include gardening, renovating homes and travelling as well as being an active member of the Anglican church.
Helen was born and raised in New York City, NY. Helen began to practice TM in 1970. Shortly after, in 1974, she became a teacher of Transcendental Meditation.
She worked as a site coordinator in the field of developmental disabilities and physical disabilities for over 30 years. Her hybrid role encompasses aspects of administration, site security, property relations and health and safety functional responsibilities. She recently retired from ErinoakKids, Centre for Treatment and Development, and now devotes herself full-time to the teaching of TM.
Helen has a passion for art and theatre and is a member of the Art Gallery of Ontario and frequently attends theatre productions. Helen belongs to the Beaches Hebrew Institute and attends regular services with her family.
Helen has been married to Kelvin for over 32 years. He is a retired teacher and was a Guidance Counselor for the Peel Board of Education for over 40 years. Their daughter Jessica, who presently lives in Los Angeles, is pursuing a career as a film producer.
Lynne began her career as a Registered Nurse in the Toronto area and learned Transcendental Meditation in 1975. After experiencing the benefits of TM and seeing how this could benefit others, she was naturally drawn to become a teacher herself. She became a TM teacher in 1977 in Avoriaz, France.
Lynne met her husband, James, also a TM Teacher, while teaching in Toronto. They moved to Ottawa where they raised their two daughters, one of whom, now currently teaches at the Toronto TM Centre. While in Ottawa, she became interested in Maharishi Ayurveda, a comprehensive system of natural medicine and worked at Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centres in Ottawa and Huntsville.
In 2007, Lynne and her husband moved to Bermuda where she taught TM for 6 years. Recently, they returned to Canada and Lynne is happy to now be a part of the Mississauga TM Centre team.
She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren as well as pursuing many interests including watercolour painting, photography, travelling and being in nature.
