Local Teacher

 Helene Darisse

Helene has been teaching Transcendental Meditation in Montreal, Ottawa, and the Niagara Region since 1975, when she was personally made a teacher of TM by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in Arosa, Switzerland.  Since then she has participated in a total of over 4 years of research into consciousness through advanced programs in Transcendental Meditation. 

She chaired the Transcendental Meditation Centre in Ottawa and has been a Director of the Niagara Falls TM Centre since 1995.  As a faculty member, she taught Technical Video Production at Maharishi International University for three years and administered Maharishi International Academy TM "retreat" centre in Huntsville, Muskoka, for another three years. 

Additional background includes a Bachelor's in Communication Arts, a Bachelor of Education from Brock University, and Master's in Educational Technology from Concordia University, Montreal.  She taught elementary school in the Niagara Region from 1995 to 2004, and therefore would love  to teach TM within the education system.
